Pink Slips And e-Safety Checks for Sydney Drivers
Car Mechanic Strathfield is a licensed inspection station for pink slips and e-Safety check reports for Sydney drivers.
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) requires vehicles more than 5 years old to complete an e-safety check to obtain a pink slip. You will need a pink slip to be able to renew your CTP green slip from your insurance company and car registration. An e-Safety report will be sent electronically to RMS on your behalf.
Our fully qualified mechanics ensure the safety of your car by inspecting and monitoring your car’s:
- Belts and hoses
- Engine coolant
- Windscreen wipers
- Engine Oil
- Lights and blinkers
All vehicles travelling on public roads require a safety inspection and pink slip. This includes trailers, caravans and all towed auxiliary vehicles.
The RMS no longer issues registration stickers for light vehicles. All e-safety checks are sent through to Roads and Maritime Services electronically upon completion.
Please bring your official car registration form with you as we need certain engine information.
Contact us today on 02 8074 5449 to organise your pink slip or any other roadworthy certificate.
What Happens If My Car Fails A Pink Slip Safety Inspection?
If your car is found to not be roadworthy after it’s initial inspection, you will be issued with a white slip failure notice. This allows you, the vehicles owner, to have the necessary repairs carried out and a re-inspection done within 14 days. If you return the vehicle to us for re-inspection there will be no additional charge.
A new e-safety inspection will be required, and charged, if the required repairs are not completed within 14 days.
Trailers that weigh less than 251kgs and caravans with a tare weight less than 411kgs do not need a e-safety check.
