Do I Need A Car eSafety Check?
A car e-Safety check is an important part of the maintenance carried out by our Strathfield mechanics. While your car’s performance and reliability is important, the safety of your family whilst in your car is priceless.
Before you start a road holiday, why not pop in for a car e-Safety check? Our certified mechanics systematically inspect your vehicle from front to back and top to bottom, giving you a full written report on the condition of your vehicle. This gives you peace of mind.
Roads and Maritime Services NSW require all cars more than five years old to pass an e-Safety check prior to renewing their CTP green slip and registration.
Our fully qualified mechanics ensure the safety of your car by inspecting and monitoring your car’s:
- Belts and hoses
- Engine coolant
- Windscreen wipers
- Engine Oil
- Lights and blinkers

Validity of eSafety Checks
Light vehicle safety check reports are valid for 6 months so you need to renew your registration in that time. Light vehicles include…
- Trucks less than 4.5 tonnes GVM
- Trailers and caravans.
Failed eSafety Checks
If your light vehicle is deemed unroadworthy and fails the safety check, you can’t renew your registration.
You will be issued with a Repairs Needed report (white slip) and have 14 days in which to complete the repairs. Return your vehicle to our workshop and the repeat inspection is then done free of charge. If repairs are completed outside of the 14 days a new assessment and fee applies.
Your final report will be electronically sent to Roads and Maritime Services on your behalf.
You will need a paid CTP policy to complete your registration.
Drop in to our workshop or call 02 8074 5449 and get your e-Safety check today.
